현재분사

• Ving: ~하고 있는, 형용사 역할, 명사 앞에서 명사를 꾸밈.(ex. smiling lady(N))
• 현재분사가 포함된 구: 명사 뒤에서 형용사 역할.(ex. that boy(N) sitting next to Alext)

과거분사

• p.p: ~된, 형용사 역할, 명사 앞에서 명사를 꾸밈.(ex. stolen bike(N))
• 과거분사를 포함된 구: 명사 뒤에서 형용사 역할.(ex. a skirt(N) made of cotton)

분사구문

• 접속사, 주어 생략. 동사는 현재분사 사용. 현재분사가 포함된 구는 (,) 쉼표로 구분.
• be동사의 현재분사는 being.
• 분사구문의 부정은 현재분사 앞에 not.
• being+p.p 분사 구문은 being 생략.

현재분사나 과거분사는 어렵지 않다. 분사구문도 크게 어렵지 않다. 하지만 확실히 익혀두지 않으면 독해가 안된다. 그래서 현재분사, 과거분사, 분사구문을 함께 정리해 봤다. 분사구문에서 접속사가 생략되면 독해가 꽤 어려워진다. 나만 그런가?!
